A remarkable account of an effective non-surgical treatment for basal cell carcinomas (BCCs). Electrochemotherapy (ECT) consists of making the area surrounding the lesion temporarily permeable using electric pulses (under local anaesthesia), then bleomycin is administered to the area. The treatment is completed in 20 minutes. Photographs of a 90-year-old patient show the apparent complete disappearance of an upper eyelid BCC. Only three patients are described, who have all been treated successfully. There is no comment about any other cases treated. Further reports are eagerly awaited!
