A charity cheque presentation took place on Friday 9 December 2022 at Dr Tapan Patel’s state-of-the-art PHI Clinic at which representatives from Children’s Burns Trust were presented with funds raised at the Lumenis Cares Summer Dinner.
A total of £28,000 was raised at the glittering fundraiser which took place in the exquisite Tapestry Room at prestigious London venue The Ned in July 2022.
The cheque was presented by Andrew Greenwell (Lumenis UK Country Manager), Teri Bacci (Lumenis UK Marketing Specialist) and Dr Tapan Patel, who generously matched fundraising on the night to reach the total amount. The trio presented the cheque to Princess Marina Lobanov Rostovsky (Chairman of Trustees) and Alison Tweddle (Trustee) of Children’s Burns Trust who were delighted with the donation.
Children’s Burns Trust Chairman of Trustees, Princess Marina Lobanov Rostovsky commented, “Fundraising is the lifeblood of all small charities, and like many others we have had a tumultuous few years in terms of raising vital income following the pandemic. The incredible energy, dedication and generosity from Lumenis, as well as the overwhelming gesture from Dr Tapan Patel to match funds is so appreciated. The incredible amount of money raised on the night will allow us to continue providing rehabilitation support for burned and scalded children, as well as supporting our prevention and awareness campaigns for which there is little or no national funding.”
