This comprehensive review of the current concepts and management of malignant melanoma has been compiled by a single author with extensive experience in the subject. The book comprises an in-depth analysis of the current views and updates in the aetiology, epidemiology, diagnosis and treatment of melanoma. The layout of the book is very specific, with 17 chapters detailing the various surgical and non-surgical treatments, as well as a significant portion of the book (chapters 12-17) on more unusual presentations of melanoma.

The chapters are heavily referenced with abundant prose and read more like a CME article than a textbook chapter.

There are plenty of excellent colour photographs and diagrams to illustrate each chapter. Each chapter has an individual bibliography for easy reference of papers. In summary, this book is an excellent source of evidenced-based management of malignant melanoma up to its publication date in 2015. It is aimed at current practitioners / melanoma specialists and less useful for students / trainees.
