In March, a historic moment for the face equality movement took place, where Face Equality International (FEI) Patron, Nikki Lilly, addressed the United Nations Human Rights Council.

In advocating for stronger protections against cyberbullying and disability discrimination, her powerful speech was a crucial step in pushing for real change – but it also reinforced how much work remains.

Despite progress, discrimination against people with facial differences remains widespread. Recent findings from FEI's Facial Recognition and Facial Difference Survey reveal widespread issues in AI technology, which furthers exclusion. Additionally, FEI's Visibly Invisible campaign continues to highlight the lived experiences of those facing daily injustices.

FEI are committed to driving systemic change advocacy across society. You can learn more about their work on Inclusion in Law and Policy or you can partner with them to make a real impact.

What’s next?

We will continue pressing for accountability at a global level, amplifying the voices of our community, and challenging systemic bias. Will you stand with FEI in this fight? Learn more here.
