PREVIEW

The leading experts in UK aesthetic medicine are meeting for the 2020 British College of Aesthetic Medicine’s (BCAM) first 'Virtual Conference' on 14-19 September.
The College has a full week packed with bite-sized virtual meetings in the evenings of 14-18 September plus a half day on Saturday 19 September focusing on UK developments in relation to COVID-19. The agenda is packed with leading speakers exploring the latest innovations, techniques, and best practice in this burgeoning field of medicine. Patient demand continues to skyrocket despite COVID-19, yet patient safety fears remain through the lack of regulation, which shall be addressed by our key speakers in the Saturday agenda.
Work-streams include:

Monday: Common Aesthetic Complications

Tuesday: Body Contouring & Weight Control

Wednesday: Women's Health

Thursday: Managing Skin of Colour

Friday: Covid Well Being

Saturday: Updates, Legal Information, Insurance and Covid-19

Dr Uliana Gout, BCAM President commented: “We are proud to steer and lead the UK aesthetic medicine specialty and our Virtual 2020 Conference will be showcasing the latest concepts, trends and regulatory developments within the last year, especially with recent COVID-19 events in mind. We are grateful to all our Trustees, members, and business partners for all their support in bringing this Virtual Conference together - it has been a fantastic team effort! We all appreciate that this year has proven a challenge not only for the UK but for the global aesthetic Mmdicine community, and we are proud to have worked closely with legal counsel and with the Department of Health & Social Care to clarify the confusion surrounding regulation. We strive to fulfill our role in providing clear evidence and information to our Members and colleagues based on facts. Our conference will underline the College’s clinical leadership of our specialty and, once again, make the call for tighter regulation.”
Dr Catherine Fairris, Conference Director said: “Real thanks is due to all the College’s sponsors and exhibitors - we couldn’t do it without them! Thanks to their backing we can offer to extend the
event to non-BCAM members and those on the College’s lengthy application waiting list too. For those wishing to enter the specialty what a great way to learn and network with the sector’s leaders.”

Pre-recorded and live sessions will be available throughout the week of 14-19 September 2020. Programme information and tickets are available by emailing info@bcam.ac.uk for details.
